Auto Shanghai 2015 show kicks off

A total of 109 car models made their global debut at the 2015 Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, which kicked off on Monday.

With a general exhibition area of over 350,000 square meters, the auto show has attracted more than 2,000 domestic and international exhibitors. A total of 1,343 complete vehicles were displayed, including 103 new energy vehicles and 47 concept cars.

Roland Kruger, the president of Infiniti, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Nissan, said he is confident about the Chinese auto market, adding that there will be more opportunities in the future.

The theme of this year's auto show is "Innovation for Upgrading." It will run until April 29. Endi
