Spanish stock market drops 1.42 pct, closes at 11,611 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex 35 plummeted 1.42 percent on Thursday to close at 11,611.70 points, down from the 11,778.40 points of Wednesday.

Gamesa shares led falls losing 3.24 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, FCC, BBVA and DIA which lost 2.54 percent, 2.43 percent, 2.36 percent and 2.34 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Tecnicas Reunidas shares led rises climbing 1.22 percent, followed by BME, Endesa, and Jazztel which rose 0.45 percent, 0.05 and 0.04 percent respectively.

Spain's risk premium stood at 127.3 points at Thursday's closing time rising from the 116.8 points of Wednesday's closing time due to doubts over the situation in Greece, while Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.356 percent. Endit
