136 Bangladeshis flee war-torn Yemen

136 Bangladeshi nationals including five women and four children have arrived safely in Djibouti from war-torn Yemen, a foreign ministry spokesman said in Dhaka on Thursday.

In a statement, Public Relation Officer Khaleda Begum said the Bangladeshi nationals were evacuated from Hodeida, Yemen on April 15.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Kuwait, stationed in Djibouti, received them at a sea port on Thursday, said the statement.

The ministry of foreign Affairs is arranging their food, shelter and other logistics during their stay in Djibouti.

The ministry is also arranging their onward journey from Djibouti to Dhaka, which is slated on April 20. Endi
