Namibian President Hage Geingob is expected to arrive in Luanda on Thursday for a 24-hour visit to Angola as part of bilateral efforts to promote cooperation between the two neighboring African countries, the Angolan foreign ministry announced in a press release.

The Namibian leader was to be welcomed at the Luanda international airport by Angolan Foreign Minister Georges Rebelo Chikoti before meeting with his Angolan counterpart Jose Eduardo dos Santos to review the state of bilateral relations and matters of regional and international concern, the press release said.

The two presidents will head their respective delegations at official talks that will culminate in the signing of cooperation accords between the two countries.

This is the first visit to Angolan by Hage Geingob since he took office on March 21 this year in Windhoek. Endi
