EU international trade in goods surplus reaches 3.4 bln euros in Feb.

The European Union (EU) recorded a 3.4 billion euros (3.6 billion U.S. dollars) surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in February 2015, compared with that of 4.9 billion euros in February 2014, according to data released by the statistical office of the EU Eurostat on Wednesday.

Moreover, intra-EU trade rose to 244.9 billion euros in February 2015, up by 3 percent from that of February 2014, said Eurostat.

From January to February 2015, the EU recorded a deficit of 7.5 billion euros in trade in goods with the rest of the world, compared with the deficit of 9.4 billion euros in January-February 2014.

Meanwhile, intra-EU trade remained nearly stable at 481.0 billion euros in January-February 2015. Endit
