A steel beam fell from a crane at a light rail station construction site in central Taiwan's Taichung city on Friday afternoon, killing four people on the ground, according to eyewitnesses.

The steel beam fell from three stories high onto cars passing by during rush hour, raising fears that casualties may climb further.

Several people were injured and an unknown number of people were trapped inside their cars, according to media reports. Endi
