-- Greece managed to make a debt repayment of 450 million euros (about 477 million U.S. dollars) to the International Monetary Fund by the prescribed time on Thursday.

-- Germany's federal aviation office LBA has supported the claims made by German air carrier Lufthansa in the debate over possible omissions related to the Germanwings plane crash. According to LBA, no supervisory duties of the company were violated in the case of the aircraft's co-pilot who apparently suffered from mental illness. Rather, the co-pilot himself had ignored reporting obligations.
