At least 20 Shiite Houthi fighters were killed and dozens of others wounded in Saudi-led airstrikes on a military base in Yemen's northern province of Amran, military officials and medics said.

"Saudi-led warplanes pounded 310th armored camp for over seven times during morning and afternoon, bombing weapons shipping containers and tanks, during which many Houthi fighters were killed," a retired military officer who lives next to the camp told Xinhua by phone on condition of anonymity. CARACAS -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has received 10.42 million signatures on a petition calling on the United States to repeal a decree declaring the country a national security threat, media reported Thursday.

ISLAMABAD -- A total of 47 militants were killed in an air raid by Pakistani army in the country's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency on Thursday, local media reported.

PORT-AU-PRINCE -- As many as 21 people died after a migrant boat sank off the north coast of Haiti, a senior Haitian official said on Thursday.
