In men's squad, the London 2012 Olympic runner-up Asley Gonzalez (90) leads the men team, who recovered from a surgery in his right shoulder last October.

Justo Noda, coach of the men's selection remarked that Gonzalez is under training since January, with the logical limitations imposed by its operation.

Noda added that he decided to include Gonzalez, also world holder of Rio de Janeiro 2013 in the selection after watching his good evolution and acting on the tatamis.
