7 killed by falling crane in India

At least seven people were killed in the central Indian state Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday when a crane used in building a temple fell on them during a storm, said Indo-Asian News Service.

Some houses nearby were also damaged by the crane, which fell due to strong winds. An operation was on to rescue some people trapped under the crane, said the report.

State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the deaths and has offered money compensations to the families of the victims. Endi
