Heavy winds cause cancellations of Finnish cruises

Xinhua, April 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

Finnish shipping company Linda Line Oy cancelled all cruises between Helsinki and Tallinn on Wednesday due to stormy weather, local media reported.

Finland was hit by strong winds on Wednesday, with gusts of up to 30 meters per second recorded on the southern coast of the country.

Because of the bad weather, Linda Line cancelled a total of over 10 departures.

According to a representative of the cruise line, the cancellations may continue on Thursday if the weather remains bad.

Headquartered in Helsinki, Linda Line Oy is a sister company of the Estonian firm Lindaliini AS, which operates high speed crafts between Helsinki and Tallinn. Endit
