Czech region of Plzen to enhance cooperation with China

Xinhua, April 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

Czech regional governor Vaclav Slajs said Wednesday that the country's Plzen region would found an office with two employees in the city of Plzen to serve as a mediator for partnership relations especially in China.

Slajs said that a "mirror office" would also be founded in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, with which the region has a partnership.

Slajs said the office would help Czech entrepreneurs gain information on business, universities and research centers to increase cooperation with China and develop tourism.

He said the focus would be on establishing sophisticated businesses that add value.

Deputy regional governor Ivo Gruener said that they would work on a direct air connection between Prague and Beijing.

According to Czech media, a regional delegation of Czech will visit China's Zhejiang province and then join a Czech-Chinese Forum in Shanghai. Endit
