French stock market index up 0.57 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 advanced 0.57 percent, or 28.58 points, to close at 5,062.22 points on Wednesday.

The CAC 40 closed slightly higher on Wednesday with 29 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance, while Orange stayed on the same level as the previous trading day.

Wednesday's top three gainers were Credit Agricole, up 3.11 percent, Legrand, up 1.99 percent, and Vinci, up 1.69 percent.

The three companies that lost most on Wednesday were Renault, down 1.65 percent, ArcelorMittal, down 1.28 percent, and Alcatel-Lucent, down 1.11 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 decreased by 0.98 percent and closed at 5,033.64 points. Enditem
