American comedy actor Will Ferrell was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, as the 2,547th star in the category of motion pictures.

Family, friends and hundreds of fans came to the ceremony to celebrate with the Golden Globe-nominated actor and comedian.

"It goes with saying that I feel so fortune, and yet I can't accept this award, so cover it up, cover it, give it to someone else. No, no, I'm kidding, I'm kidding." the comedian amused the crowd at the ceremony.

Ferrell is well known for his movies including "Elf," "Zoolander," Old School," "The Campaign," and the screen adaptation of "The Producers," which earned him his first Golden Globe nomination in 2006 for Best Supporting Actor. In 2007, Ferrell earned his second Golden Globe nomination, for Best Actor in a musical "Stanger Than Fiction" for his portrayal of IRS agent Harold Crick.

His work on "Saturday Night Live" earned Ferrell two Emmy nominations in 2001, for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program, and Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program.

The latest comedy film of Ferrell is named "Get Hard," which is going to open this weekend. Endi
