Nigeria's senior female soccer team jetted out Thursday for an All-Africa Games qualifier against Mali on Saturday at the Stade Modibbo Keita in Bamako, capital of the West African country.

The Nigerian team, known as the Super Falcons, boarded an Ethiopian Airline plane at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to arrive in the Malian capital Bamako on Friday.

Officials confirmed the Nigerian delegation included 11 technical and administrative officials and 18 players. The team was led by Dilichukwu Onyedinma, chairman of the Nigeria Women League.

The match between Nigeria and Mali, scheduled for Saturday, is the first leg of the only round of qualifiers for the women's football tournament of the All-Africa Games.

The Nigerian Super Falcons are currently the champions in African football. Endi
