Mauritius saw a considerable increase in the number of tourist arrivals for the first two months this year despite gloomy days due to bad weather conditions, official statistics showed Friday.

Europe remains the best clients for vacation in Mauritius. In 2015, there has been an increase of some 11.2 percent. France, United Kingdom and Germany are the top three countries from which tourists came.
China has seen its nationals doubled in less than one year as tourists in Mauritius. In February, an increase of 13.2 percent has been noted, which is the double registered last year.
In February 2014, 6,831 Chinese nationals visited Mauritius but this year that figure has increased to 12,074.
