Slovak foreign trade records surplus in 2014

Slovakian foreign trade recorded a surplus of 4.64 billion euros (5 billion U.S. dollars) in 2014, up 416.3 million euros from 2013, the Slovak Statistics Office announced Wednesday.

Annual increases were seen in exports in Germany (7 percent), Britain (15.6 percent) and France (0.2 percent), while imports rose from China (by 4.5 percent), Hungary (by 5.6 percent) and France (by 6.7 percent).

The biggest surpluses were seen in trading with Germany, Britain and Austria. The biggest deficits were measured in trade with South Korea, China and Russia. Endit
