French stock market index down 1.12 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 went down by 55.25 points, or 1.12 percent, to close at 4,881.95 points on Tuesday.

In total, 32 of the 40 selected companies experienced decrease.

Tuesday's top three gainers were EDF, up 1.89 percent, Bouygues, up 1.89 percent, and Orange, up 1.83 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Tuesday were Technip, down 3.98 percent, Total, down 3.22 percent, and Lafarge, down 2.96 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 decreased by 0.55 percent to close at 4,937.20 points. Enditem
