French stock market index up 0.94 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.94 percent to close at 4,963.51 points on Thursday, up 46.16 points.

With the European Central Bank starting to buy the debt of states and public agencies from Monday, the CAC 40 closed higher on Thursday with 36 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

Thursday's top three gainers were Airbus Group, up 4.76 percent, Accor, up 3.73 percent, and Safran, up 2.98 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Thursday were Gemalto, down 2.58 percent, EDF, down 2.43 percent, and Solvay, down 0.61 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.99 percent to close at 4,917.35 points, up 48.1 points. Endit
