Georgia records low inflation in February

Georgia posted an annual inflation rate of 1.3 percent in February, slightly down from 1.4 percent in January, said the state statistics office, Geostat, on Wednesday.
Economists attributed the moderate rise of inflation in February mainly to delayed effects of the depreciation of the national currency, lari, against the U.S. dollar. It is predicted that March will witness a more notable leap in prices of all products.
