Lithuanian PM bids warm farewell to outgoing Chinese ambassador

Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius met with Liu Zengwen, the outgoing Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Lithuania, Tuesday.

During the meeting, Butkevicius thanked Liu for his efforts in fostering cooperation and mutual understanding, as well as extending his well-wishes to the ambassador for the Chinese New Year.

"I am glad that the relations of our states present numerous new opportunities for businesses, agricultural producers, infrastructure projects and relations between the citizens of both countries," Butkevicius was quoted as saying in a statement.

In the words of the head of government, China is Lithuania's largest trading partner in the Asian region, and as such, Lithuania was willing to expand and deepen the political and economic cooperation with China. Endit
