Xinhua, February 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has had knee surgery on Thursday, his team said.

The NBA franchise said Anthony had successful surgery to repair his left knee tendon.

Anthony is expected to be out for four to six months for rehabilitation.

Anthony had battled knee trouble throughout much of this season, missing 13 of the Knicks' 53 games before the All-Star break.

He was the 2012-13 NBA scoring champion. Endi
