The Indian government Friday said that it is planning to set up a helicopter manufacturing unit in the western state of Goa.

"Goa has all the infrastructure required to set up such a unit. We have not finalized anything, but the government is considering it," Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar said.

The Defense Minister, addressing investors in a business summit in the state, also said that the reforms in the country's defense production would be in place within a few months.

"We have taken these issues in defense production on priority basis and in a few months, they will be completed," he added. Endi
