Xinhua, February 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak Wednesday in Beijing.

Yang said China is ready to work with Slovakia to further their political ties and push forward all-round exchanges.

He suggested the two countries strengthen cooperation within the framework of China-EU cooperation as well as the cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.

Lajcak said Slovakia attaches great importance to developing ties with China and is willing to push forward the relationship on the basis of mutual respect and mutual understanding.

Slovakia will make unremitting efforts to deepen CEEC-China cooperation as well as the EU-China ties, he said.

Miroslav Lajcak is paying an official visit to China from Feb. 2 to 5 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.

Slovakia will host the second seminar on technological innovation cooperation and international technology transfer between China and the CEE countries in 2015. Endi
