19 killed in DR Congo attack

A total of 19 people were hacked to death Tuesday in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)'s North Kivu province where Ugandan rebels staged frequent attacks, a local official told Xinhua Wednesday.

Kavota Omar, spokesman for the civil society of Kivu, said armed men raided Mayangose-Kibidiwe Village in the Province at 11: 00 p.m. local time, adding that so far 19 bodies have already been found.

Local official said the research continues to find other people who remain unaccounted for. Endi
