Heavy snow in S. Germany disrupts traffic, causes accidents

Heavy snow in parts of southern German state of Bavaria since Friday have caused traffic accidents and forced schools to close, according to local fire brigade and media reports.
Five people were injured after a truck collided with two cars in the town of Brunnthal near Munich, according to local fire brigade.
In a separate accident on the highway B17 near Augsburg, 12 people were injured in multiple collisions that involved nine cars, three vans and three trucks. One of them was in serious condition, the Bavarian Radio reported on Saturday.
In the district of Oberpfalz, 25 road accidents have been reported, according to Bavarian Radio.
In Munich, bad weather has caused delay of suburban trains. In north Bavaria, pupils have to stay at home because icy roads and fallen trees have made it impossible for school buses to operate. Endit
