Plastic house fire kills 5 in Bangladesh

A fire erupted in a plastic house in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka on Saturday, killing at least five people and injuring dozens others, said a firefighter.

The fire started at Nasim Plastic House at 5:25 p.m. local time (1125 GMT), said the firefighter who declined to be named.

"We've recovered five charred bodies," he said.

The firefighter added the death toll might rise as the condition of some of the 25 to 30 injured remained critical.

The cause of the blaze could not be known immediately. Endi
