Xinhua, January 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Namibia's rail operator TransNamib is seeking to borrow 45 million Namibian dollars (4 million U.S dollars) for acquiring new locomotives to recondition its aging railway network.

Tender documents available on Monday requires any company interested in the deal to purchase all or part of the listed locomotives, reachstackers and forklifts at various value, including three Zephir Shunting locomotives from a Chinese manufacturer.

Three companies - M&Z, Namibia's biggest luxury vehicles seller, Bank Windhoek and Old Mutual - are understood to have shown interest in working with TransNamib. Enditem.
