Urgent: U.S. stocks end mildly higher ahead of ECB meeting

U.S. stocks posted modest gains Wednesday after volatile trading, as investors were eagerly awaiting the European Central Bank's policy meeting.

The Dow rose more than 0.2 percent, and the S&P 500 gained 0.5 percent while the Nasdaq added 0.3 percent. Endite
