Yannik Yala Bolasie vowed to go all out for his team when DR Congo face Cape Verde Islands in their second Group B match at the on-going Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) on Thursday.
"After drawing with Zambia in our opening game, we need to play our hearts out in the second game," Bolasie said.
Bolasie, who had a good run for Crystal Palace in the English Premier League this season, said he is fired up to score more goals in the tournament.
"I want to keep scoring to help my team win this trophy. This Afcon is a very big competition and winning it will mean a lot for all the people of DR Congo," he added.
The 28-year-old player scored the goal that earned DR Congo a 1- 1 draw with the Chipolopolo of Zambia on Sunday at the Ebebiyin Stadium, Equatorial Guinea.
Cape Verde, which drew 1-1 with Tunisia, in the opening game, is not the kind of team to be underrated easily. They will look to players like Carlos Lima, Jefry Fortes and Antonio Varela Monteiro to do the magic.
Tunisia and Zambia will face-off in the other Group B match. The 2012 Champions will however play without Nathan Sinkala who got injured during the first match and has been given close to three weeks to recover.
Skipper Rainford Kalaba, who is making his fifth appearance in an Afcon Edition together with Emmanuel Mbola and Emmanuel Mayuka, will have to be at their best if they hope to tame the North African team.
With each of the four teams in Group B having a point, a win in the second round will brighten chances of qualification for the quarter finals. Endite
