At least three persons have been killed and eight others injured in a cylinder explosion in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh in the early hours of Tuesday, a senior police official said.

"The incident happened when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a three-storied building at Chittinagar area in the city of Vijaywada. While three persons died on the spot, those injured have been admitted to a local hospital," he said, on condition of anonymity.(India-Cylinder Explosion)

TOKYO -- Japanese Foreign Ministry has been in bid to confirm the authenticity of a video released Tuesday by the terror group Islamic State (IS) about two Japanese captives, local media reported on Tuesday.

GHAZNI, Afghanistan -- Nine civilians were killed while two others were wounded when a vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in the eastern Ghazni province on Tuesday, a provincial official said.

"Nine innocent civilians, including a woman and a child, were dead and two others wounded after a mini-bus they were traveling in touched off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Gilan District at around midday," deputy provincial governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi told Xinhua. ISLAMABAD -- At least three policemen were injured when a suicide bomber blew up himself at a check post in Pakistan's north military city of Wah on Tuesday afternoon, local media reported.
