The Albanian head of police met with his Italian counterpart on Monday to highlight that joint operations with Italy in the fight against organized crime, apprehension and extradition of fugitives from justice authorities, and air monitoring to prevent cultivation of narcotic plants were necessary.

According to Albanian Telegraphic Agency, when Albania's Artan Didi met with Fulvio Della Rocca, he said: "It was precisely this cooperation and rapid exchange of information between the two sides of police that led to dismantling of some criminal groups of drug traffic during 2014."

Rocca responded that his first visit as deputy director general was to Albania, illustrating the significance of relations between the two parts and praising the coordinated work with Albanian police. Endit
