French stock market index up 0.35 pct on Monday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.35 percent to close at 4,394.93 points on Monday, up 15.31 points.

Investors' strong believe that the European Central Bank will release economic stimulus measures during its meeting on Thursday. At closing, 26 of the 40 selected companies gained advance, while LVMH and Lafarge stayed the same as previous trading day.

Monday's top three gainers were Societe Generale, up 2.21 percent, Safran, up 1.76 percent, and Saint Gobain, up 1.62 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Monday were Technip, down 1.39 percent, Gemalto, down 1.32 percent, and Unibail-Rodamco, down 1.06 percent.

In previous trading day, Jan. 16, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.31 percent to close at 4,379.62 points, up 56.42 points. Endit
