A Singapore navy ship has located the fuselage of the crashed AirAsia QZ8501 with 162 people on board, Singapore's defense chief said Wednesday.

Chief of Navy RADM Lai Chung Han said that one of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)'s ships, the MV Swift Rescue, has located the fuselage of the AirAsia plane in the Java Sea, Singapore's Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen said in a Facebook post. (Singapore-AirAsia Flight)

JAKARTA -- The main fuselage of the crashed AirAsia plane has been found, Indonesian officials said on Wednesday.

"We have found the main fuselage at 15:05 local time today," Dianta, spokesman of Indonesia National Search and Rescue Agency, told Xinhua via phone on Wednesday, adding that the location is 3 km from where the tail part has been recovered and 0.8 km from where the flight data recorders was lifted.(Indonesia-AirAsia Plane)

NEW DELHI -- Indian authorities on Wednesday ordered a probe into the discovery of more than 100 dead bodies found in the river Ganges after officials said they could be those of poor people who could not afford the cost of cremation.

The government in the northern state of Uttar said 30 bodies were discovered from the river's channel till late Tuesday but by Wednesday morning the number rose to 104, said Director General of Police A.K. Gupta in state capital Lucknow. (India-Bodies Discovery)

DHAKA -- Bangladesh ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's 20-party alliance has called a dawn-to-dusk countrywide strike for Thursday protesting the gun attack on a leader.
