Film mogul's purchase of Van Gogh painting

Wang Zhongjun, one of China's richest men, bought a Vincent Van Gogh masterpiece for nearly US$62 million in November, becoming the latest tycoon to make an eyebrow-raising art purchase.
Wang, the chairman of the high-powered Huayi Brothers film studio, bought Van Gogh's 1890 painting "Nature Morte, Vase aux Marguerites et Coquelicots" on Nov. 4 for $61.8 million. The painting, which was auctioned by Sotheby's in New York, had been valued at $30 million to $50 million.
In 2013, tycoon Wang Jianlin's Wanda Group bought the 1950 Pablo Picasso painting "Claude and Paloma" for US $28 million, more than double the highest estimate of US$12 million.
