The equipment includes armored car geared for riot-prevention, an anti-collision guardrail and other protection devices.

Zhu Xiangjun is a vice director with the China North Industries Group Corporation.

"This equipment shows its effectiveness in revealing and containing terrorist attacks. It will contribute to the stability of society."

China has seen an increasing number of terrorist attacks this year, in multiple locations including western Xinjiang and southern Yunnan.

Authorities say the new equipment has been widely deployed.
