On the basis of SUC Guidelines for Sustainable Cities and Communities jointly released by UNEP and JCEP in July 2015, the Revision optimizes the three level indicators of each item, making the goal clearer for sustainable cities and communities. SUC Management System is unveiled to provide a set of scientific management strategies and tools for construction of sustainable cities and communities and to motivate stakeholders of cities and communities to participate. “While the SUC Guidelines launched in Beijing in mid-July made it clear to developing countries what kind of cities and communities are sustainable, the SUC ‘Management System’ released this time provides specific methodology and toolkits for the sustainable process, a great leap from theory to practice. It is of great significance in guidance and practice and gives impetus to the future demonstration work for cities and communities. ”said Mr. Li Xiang, CEO & Executive Director of JCEP.
