Vietnam's health officials said that Vietnam confirmed 11 more A/H1N1 flu cases, raising total infections to 48, the local newspaper Young People reported on Monday.

Of the 11 newly-reported patients, ten returned to Vietnam at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City from infected areas, according to the Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City Health Department of Vietnam.

The remaining one is a Vietnamese female student coming home at Noi Bai International Airport in the capital of Hanoi from England, said director of the Hanoi-based National Infectious and Tropical Diseases Nguyen Van Kinh.

So far, 20 patients, including 19 in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Hanoi, have already recovered and been discharged from hospital. The remaining patients, who are receiving treatment at hospitals, are all in stable condition, said health officials.

Amid the rising flu cases in the country, the Vietnam's Ministry of Health asked passengers who had been on the same flights with the detected A/H1N1 patients to quarantine themselves and report their health conditions as soon as possible to the local health agencies when having such symptoms as fever and cough.
