Canada Adds 265 New Cases of A/H1N1 Flu in 2 Days

Canada added 265 new cases of the A/H1N1 flu on Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing the total to 1,795, according to the latest figures of Public Health Agency of Canada on Wednesday afternoon.

The province of Ontario alone added 179 new cases, bringing the total to 894, which is by far the most among the provinces.

Other provinces that are more seriously hit are Quebec (346), Saskatchewan (153), Alberta (141) and British Columbia (136).

The outbreak has now spread to nine provinces and three territories out of the total of 10 provinces and three territories. Only the province of Newfoundland and Labrador now has no report of any cases.

The number of hospitalizations has increased to 98 with three deaths.
