Canada Adds 194 New Cases of A/H1N1 Flu over the Weekend

Canada added 194 new cases of the A/H1N1 flu since Friday to Monday, bringing the total to 1,530, according to the latest figures of Public Health Agency of Canada on Monday afternoon.
The outbreak has spread to nine provinces and three territories out of the total of 10 provinces and three territories. Northwest Territories reported its first confirmed case. Only the province of Newfoundland and Labrador now has no report of any cases.
The provinces that have most cases are Ontario (715), Quebec (309), Saskatchewan (153), British Columbia (132) and Alberta (126).
As of Friday, the average age reported is 22 years or younger with median age at 17 years.
To date 57 hospitalizations and two deaths have been reported among laboratory-confirmed cases.
