Israeli Health Ministry confirmed on Saturday the third case of influenza A/H1N1, previously known as "swine flu".
A 34-year-old man, who recently came back from Mexico and in the Tel Aviv's Icihilov Hospital on Friday, was diagnosed being infected the virus, according to a statement of Israeli Health Ministry.
His 34-year-old wife with flu-like symptoms was also quarantined on Friday following a suspicion of the disease.
The couple was placed in isolation shortly after their return. On Friday, the hospital stated that both man and woman were in good condition.
The first two Israelis that have tested positive for the virus since the global outbreak of A/H1N1, were released Friday from hospital upon treatment, Israeli health authorities said.
Earlier Friday morning, a 26-year-old woman was reported to be another suspected A/H1N1 flu case. She was hospitalized in Haifa after feeling ill following contact with a young man who had recently returned from Mexico.
