Israel Finds 2 More Suspected of Carrying Swine Flu Virus

Two more Israeli citizens were quarantined on Wednesday after their return from Mexico, due to being suspicion of carrying the swine flu virus, local media reported.
A 34-year-old man has been quarantined at Tel Aviv's Sourasky Medical Center, while a 56-year-old woman has been quarantined at Kfar Saba's Meir Hospital, according to the website of local daily Yedioth Ahronoth.
Two Israelis have already been confirmed as having the virus on Tuesday, and two additional suspected cases of swine flu are being checked.
"Every patient who is suspected of carrying the virus receives antiviral treatment and flu medication that is considered also to be effective against the swine flu," Professor Yehuda Carmeli, head of the epidemiology unit at Sourasky Medical Center was quoted as saying.
On Tuesday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conveyed an emergency meeting to evaluate preparations for recent development regarding the looming threat of swine flu, following the confirmation of two cases of the virus.
