China successfully launched its fifth manned spacecraft at 5:38 PM on Tuesday.
Three astronauts --- commander Nie Haisheng, astronaut Zhang Xiaoguang and the second Chinese woman in space Wang Yaping --- are aboard the spacecraft. They gave Dragon Boat Festival greetings to all Chinese on Wednesday.
"The mission's members carry a space dream of the Chinese nation, and represent the lofty aspirations of the Chinese people to explore space," President Xi Jinping said before the successful launch of the Shenzhou 10 spacecraft on Tuesday.
"The Shenzhou 10 spacecraft has been successfully launched and precisely put into orbit, which means that our country's fifth manned space mission has succeeded in the first phase," he said after the launch.
