2. Total Assets

By the end of 2008, the total assets of the corporations engaged in hotel and catering services reached 1,107.91 billion yuan, an increase of 58.8 percent as compared with that at the end of 2004 (see table 9).

3. Business revenue from Principal Activities

In 2008, the total business revenue generated by principal activities of corporation enterprises engaged in hotel and catering services was 614.69 billion yuan, up by 102.2 percent against 2004. Of this total, hotel was 268.55 billion yuan, and catering services was 346.14 billion yuan, up by 77.9 percent and 126.1 percent respectively against 2004 (see table 10).
