People wait for rescue on the platform of a building in the flood in Liuzhou, southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on July 4, 2009. Guilin, Hechi, Liuzhou, Laibin and Baise, cities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, suffered the disaster of floods as torrential rains hit northwest and central Guangxi since June 30. The floods afflicted 914,500 people in Guangxi, according to the figures released on Saturday. [Xinhua]
