Rural teachers in Chinese villages

Wu Jingtong teaches a Chinese class at Qingliang Primary School in Guzhen County, Bengbu City of Anhui Province. Before his retirement, Wu was the vice principal of the school. Owing to shortage of teachers, he had to go back to the platform to teach students again. As fewer and fewer young teachers want to work in villages, Chinese rural teachers also have to face the problem of aging.
