Established in 1994 with a registered capital of RMB 10.2 billion, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Co., Ltd. (CGNPC) is a large clean energy corporation under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council of China.

Up to this particular point in time, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group (CGN) has evolved into a large business group consisting of more than 30 subsidiaries and affiliates.

Aiming at “developing clean energy to benefit mankind”, CGN has been making unrelenting efforts to “build one of the world’s top clean energy enterprises, and become a leading global clean energy supplier and service deliverer”.

CGN boasts of the total assets of RMB 270 billion, and its installed capacity of Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) in operation up to 6,120 MWe on top of 18,840 MWe of 16 nuclear generating units currently under construction.

In addition, CGN owns controlling equities on the following clean energy interests: 4,280 MWe of wind generating capacity in operation, 290 MWe of operating generating capacity of solar photovoltaic power, 1,400 MWe of hydro generating capacity plus 5,490 MWe of installed capacity wherein CGN exercises equity interests. Moreover, CGN has made great strides in distributed energy, nuclear technology application, and energy conservation technical services.

CGN has always adhered to the guideline of “Safety First, Quality Foremost”. Such commitment has enabled CGN to grow in a robust and sustainable manner over the years. Specifically, it has put into place the necessary infrastructure for nuclear power generation, engineering and construction, R&D and nuclear fuel supply, as well as for development of renewable and energy conservation technologies.

Meanwhile, CGN has set up 6 state-level nuclear power R&D centers to further add to its capabilities to simultaneously build, operate and manage multiple nuclear and other clean energy projects scattered across different regions.
