Gene vaccine for H7N9 developed in Shanghai

Gene vaccine for H7N9 bird flu virus for humans has been successfully developed in Shanghai, according to officials at an infection disease research body under the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center.
Primary animal tests have proved its effectiveness. 30 lab rats were injected with the gene vaccine and the H7N9 virus. Within 30 days, none of the rats got the flu.
Clinical trial for the vaccine is waiting for approval.
