Zhong Lanyun is 51-years-old and hails from Yucheng County of central China's Henan Province, and is now the director of her village Micro Credit Center.

Zhong Lanyun never thought she would lead a prosperous life until she was introduced to microcredit.

She actually didn't believe the loans were real at the very beginning. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Zhong Lanyun got to know about the advantages of micro credits from the local loan office and applied for a loan of 3,000 yuan. She bought an electric tricycle for her husband to deliver frozen dumplings for retailers.

Unfortunately, her husband fell into the river on a rainy day and broke one of his legs. After a period of time her husband's leg recovered. The couple planed to produce frozen dumplings of their own for sale. They later applied another loan and built a freezer.

Now Zhong Lanyun has factory and her dumpling recipe has been patented. Microcredit helped Zhong to find a better life.
