Zhaoli is 32-years-old with a technical secondary school education, and hails from Donghe District, Baotou City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Zhaoli used to be a laid-off worker with no money to set up her own business. She once worked as a vendor selling vegetables and did manual labor to pay her bills.

Later, she opened a cake shop with her savings, but the operation quickly turned sour due to lack of funding.

When things began nearing their worst, the local reemployment service center released news about free training and micro credits for laid-off workers.

Zhaoli was a quick study and learned a lot from the training, and applied a loan of 20,000. Sales at her cake shop business began to improve.

Zhaoli’s face now shines with optimism and confidence, and she changed the name of her shop to Golden Wheat Cake Shop, which means prosperous future.
